ARTIST: APRS
TITLE: DRIFT
LABEL: LOWPASS RECORDS
CAT NO: LWP001
FORMAT: 12"
GENRE: TECHNO / AMBIENT
Marking his vinyl debut on Lowpass, Berlin-based producer APRS steps forward after a run of striking releases on labels such as Soma, ARTS and Sungate.
“Drift” explores human emotions through drums, melodies and textures with five pieces that refuse to settle into one shape. Each track bends the EP in a new direction without breaking its thread, holding onto a sense of vastness, detail and intimacy. Andy Martin closes the record with a remix that widens the palette even further, pushing the material into heavier terrain while keeping its spirit intact.
Cover: oil on canvas by DAXX.
LWP001 is less a declaration than a first gesture. Intuition over uniformity; a label shaped by instinct, variation and space; a place for artists to wander and for sound to evolve freely.
ARTIST: PETER RAOU
TITLE: THE BARRAS
LABEL: RJWMACHINES
CAT NO:RJWM008
FORMAT: 10"
GENRE: ACID HOUSE
EXPECTED ON OR BEFORE 31 JANUARY
"The Barras" brings two heavyweight cuts for the floor. On the A-side, "The Barras" drives with deep hypnotic rhythms and acid-soaked lines. The flip, "Pharmacy Keys", dives into raw Chicago Acid territory — weird, twisted and unstoppable in the late-night zone.
ARTIST: ANGEL SCIENCE
TITLE: MORNING STONE
LABEL: WEIRDOS INC
CAT NO: WI08
FORMAT: 12"
GENRE: TECHNO, TRIBAL
EXPECTED ON OR BEFORE 19 DECEMBER
Morning Stone is Pacific nostalgia. Now based in Mohkintsis territory on the Eastern side of the Rocky Mountains, Benoit Guimond, under his moniker Angel Science, draws us into his early life in Vancouver. That coast is still home, and his conifer-covered memories have been shaped into the organic textures of this record. Waving filtrations, archival recordings, rewinding spins and ethereal pads signal a return to the stones, sand and organic beach drift of the Pacific Northwest. Environmental rhythm and free-flowing flourishes reveal a musician in the core of his memory, at the forefront of an ever-evolving sonic journey.
Guimond has rapidly become a standout figure in Canada’s underground dance scene, celebrated for his subtle grooves and esoteric soundscapes with releases on PHTM, Echolocations, PPRZ and more.
ARTIST: RALI PIBS
TITLE: U PARADISE
LABEL: WEIRDOS INC
CAT NO: WI10
FORMAT: 12"
GENRE: TECHNO, TRIBAL
Bristol's enigmatic Rali Pibs delivers six extraordinary tracks that defy categorisation but land somewhere in the realm of hypercolour industrial techno. Opening with 'U Paradise' and its snappy tech drums and smudged synth textures, 'Ritual Loops' fuses primal rhythms with abrasive textures. The collection dances on the edge of outsider music while flirting with ambient delight on 'Sensitive (Distil Instinct mix),' 'Shaka' is twisted metal and loop-techno absurdity and 'Severence' could be Hall & Oats if they did Es. 'U Paradise Groove' is an industrial and tribal beatdown to close a truly unconventional 12".

TITLE: LOVE EVER YOUNG
LABEL: ASTROFELLA
CAT NO: ASTROLEY
FORMAT: 12"

It’s the first long play, and the third major release from this melodramatic astronaut. The album captures fragments of bitter sweet memories - unrelated separately, but tells a story of one’s search for comfort in solitude when put together.
ARTIST: Fobos Hailey
TITLE: Bulletproof
LABEL: Dionysian Mysteries
CAT NO: DR005
FORMAT: 12"
MUSIC GENRE: Electro
Fobos Hailey is the sound of a new era. Reminiscent of the anti-authoritarian, boundless soundscapes of the early '90s, his music carries an infectious, ethereal flair of self-determination. Bulletproof oozes liquid confidence and swagger — it's the kind of sound that lights a fire in your belly. Throw it on your sound system, and you'll be dodging bullshit like Neo dodges bullets in The Matrix. Fobos Hailey elegantly showcases the breadth of his production — from heavy-hitting bangers to self-reflective, contemplative jams. Get ready to be dosed with some of the freshest sounds of 2025. This masterful LP reimagines the rave sound we love from the past and pushes it into a future-facing, modern form.
ARTIST: DEREK CARR
TITLE: HARVEST TIME EP
LABEL: FLUID ELECTRONICS
CAT NO: FE005
FORMAT: 12"
GENRE: TECHNO
EXPECTED ON OR BEFORE 12 DECEMBER
Next up on Fluid Electronics, Irish producer Derek Carr joins up the fold with his “Harvest Time EP”, featuring Dutch techno staple Deniro on remix duty. Carr’s style, stretching from low-slung techno to squelchy electro, via breaks and chiselled IDM, teleports us to a zero-G headspace where shape and substance merge into an effervescing and highly stimulating maelstrom of sound. The very idea of self-reflexive dance music.
Fusing sino-flavoured harmonics with a straight out hi-tech edge, the lead single “Harvest Time” is the perfect balance between body and soul music, as it elegantly bridges the gap between that sense of weightless vaporousness and a more tactile punch. Pace itself feels relative. In the hands of Deniro, the track hatches into an eerily haunting piece of cinematic electronics, stressing further on the contrasting batucada-esque rhythms and slo-scudding synth tapestry.
The Italo-indebted “Dust Yourself Down” takes Moroder on a ride by the seashore, all arps and heavily processed keys blazing. Dipped in acid, “Rhea” pulls out a cascade of pretty aggro snares, prismatic bleeps, bloops, and a healthy dose of post-trancey waves crashing against a glassy sound design.
ARTIST: COMPUTER BLUE
TITLE: YES, BUT CONSIDER TOAST
LABEL: NO SLACK RECORDS
CAT NO: NSCB001
FORMAT: 12" LP
MUSIC GENRE: TRIP HOP
RELEASE DATE: OUT NOW
“The city does not tell its past, but contains it like the lines of a hand…”
[Yes, But Consider Toast] is the debut album from Computer Blue, the synergistic duo of singer/songwriter and cellist Jane Ha aka Pika and producer, DJ, and live performer Junmin Cho aka Livigesh. It is pop—transfigured. Skewed. Hazy. Edged with noise. A nexus of two emotive particles.
Across ten tracks, Livigesh lays down a warped pop continuum—fragments of beats, textures, and samples. These are his invisible cities; the architecture arranged and rearranged. Over that, Pika’s sharp, understated lyrics further stretch the idea of pop into something more unstable—more raw. [Yes, But Consider Toast] is aurally akin to a dream-like flux, grounded by the human condition. If you're looking for reference points, maybe it’s Computer Blue’s Emperor Tomato Ketchup, Teen Dream, or Heaven or Las Vegas—but filtered through the dust and circuitry of personal expressions of reality. It all began in 2019, just as the world was beginning to fray. Livigesh, in pandemic-mode isolation, channeled his restlessness into building the backbone of the record—writing, arranging, and producing all 10 tracks from the ground up. Along the way, he brought in guitar work from Rainbow 99 (“In the Light,” “We Can Go”) and live drums by long-time collaborator Pat Tuman aka Tat Puman (“Alone,” “In the Light,” “Tis Time,” “We Can Go,” and “Float”).
Eventually, Pika—formerly of Korean post-rock band Loro’s—entered the picture. Serendipity led them to perform at the same club in Seoul’s Hongdae district, and something clicked. Then came the regular weekly dives into whatever sound made sense that day. At Livigesh's studio, Pika layered in vocals and lyrics, shaping the mood, tilting the edges. Her voice brought warmth but never gloss. There was always a little static left in the mix. Eventually, the musical feedback loops between the two catalyzed the final form of their fused visions. In 2024, Computer Blue was born.
ARTIST: MASSIANDE
TITLE: ESSENTIAL
LABEL: FLUID FUNK
CAT NO: FF007
FORMAT: 12"
GENRE: HOUSE
RELEASE DATE: OUT NOW
Punching in with his debut vinyl EP for Fluid Funk, Chilean house producer Massiande follows up to a string of head-turning releases on an array of labels, including Jimpster’s Freerange Records. His much anticipated new offering, “Essential”, packs all the attributes of his vivid, floor-focussed vision, taking us on a bouncy ride across densely forested coastal house scapes and heavy-lidded electronics. Draped in washed-out pads and cottony textures, Massiande’s tracks have us floating in a chromatic daze of sorts, light-hearted and somewhat nostalgic, but above all hopeful and resilient.
A textbook slab of Massiande’s ever-expanding palette of woozy house tropes and silken disco touch, A1 “Tears” (also presented in bare instrumental form on the flip side [B2]) has it all, from the euphonic synths arrangements to the no-nonsense, club-igniting jack and irresistible footwork, via the infectious bass and Chicago-style soulfulness of its vocals. Proper fiery number and absolute weapon for any DJ seeking either impactful elegance in a peak-time context or to rekindle the flame when the after gets a bit too prosaic and requires that extra funky boost to get back on tracks. Grooviness exemplified.
More of a straightforward affair, A2 “Essential” unflappably beckons us on the path of utter vaporous escapology with its pulsating tableau of FX-soaked machine talk, semi-acidic bass and zero-G synthwork painting the sky all shades of pastel. The result is a rather captivating piece of weightlessly intuitive though carefully engineered sonic daydream. Injecting further oomph to the groove, B1 “Come On” pulls out a symbiotic collage of Sino-flavoured melody, Stax-ian vox sampling and straight out Detroit house-indebted propulsion, neatly showcasing both Massiande’s broad spectrum of influences and that idiosyncratic take of his on the said genres’ tried-and-tested leitmotivs.

FORMAT: 12"
MUSIC GENRE: HOUSE
PRE ORDER: OUT NOW
Irish artist The Cyclist (Andrew Morrison) delivers a four-cut dispatch of throbbing house rhythmics and afterhours glow inspired by a trip to Chicago in the summer of 2023. “Mescalate” slides through the door with an uptempo house roller, piston hats and soft-clipped stabs. Title track “Sublimity” slides into a hard-edged garage-house sway with mantra-esque vocals whirling over rolling bass. “Beamin” turns the lights up bright, synthy chords arcing like sun through the fog. Closer “Black Velvet” dials it down into a dubby, deep, bass-heavy stout drift that lingers in the chest long after the needle lifts.
Pressed on dark green vinyl, strictly limited to 150 copies and vinyl-only.

TITLE: OVRLPL002
LABEL: OVERLOAD LIVERPOOL
CAT NO: OVRLPL002
FORMAT: 12"
MUSIC GENRE: DEEP HOUSE, ELECTRO, JUNGLE
PRE ORDER: OUT NOW
Following up on a cracker split single in 2023, Overload Liverpool enterted into 2024 firing on all cylinders with a 5 shooter of freaked-out electro, warm house, deep dub cuts, and gorgeous ambient.
Firstly, Liverpool-based label boss Morrison highlights two of his distinct and dissociative styles. On the front end of the A-side, his The Motorist alias provides us with a freaked-out formant-filtered electro that’s bursting at the lips. On the back end, a deep yet bright house cut from his The Cyclist alias, with warm warbling synths layered over his Wurlitzer electric piano and suitably grooved and jaunty beats.
To kick off the deeper B-side of the 12”, Wax Tek, a founder of the Liverpool Soundsystem crew Polyone Audio, hits us right in the chest with his dubbed-out breakbeat wonder, Get Set, which diverges through Balearic, bass music, a delirious breakdown, and hard-hitting breakbeats.
Deeper still, the second B-side from Puncta, another Liverpool-based artist, who last year came to light with their release on Sputnik One’s N-Face, dives into the deep Arctic seas with Snow Crab, an exercise in dubbed-out electro-style bass music.
Finally, Belfast-based Aaron Thomas brings the 12” EP to a fitting closure with Concert², which, washing over the listener, dances like opulent drapes with its ethereal synths that crash to and fro.
ARTIST: THE CYCLIST
TITLE: ALABASTER THRONES
LABEL: 100% SILK
CAT NO: SILK105
FORMAT: 12"
MUSIC GENRE: HOUSE, TECHNO
This EP returns to the kinetic and shredded mode The Cyclist both named and perfected: “tape throb.” Alabaster Thrones collects four recent cuts of Andrew Morrison’s blasted house signature, tracked at his home studio in Birmingham, UK during “the height of mania – a time when I had no time.”
The context translates: the music is churning and charged, careening through twisting tunnels. The title is “a deflation of grandiosity” cribbed from Ulysses (“…a noble race, rulers of the waves, who sit on thrones of alabaster, silent as the deathless gods”), though Morrison’s meaning is more personal: “It’s a reminder to level yourself and think of all those around you.” Reflective forward motion for deflective backwards times.

ARTIST: MELCHIOR SULTANA & KAYSOUL
TITLE: MELEGO EP
LABEL: FLUID FUNK
CAT NO: FF006
FORMAT: 12"
GENRE: DEEP HOUSE
COUNTRY: NETHERLANDS
RELEASE DATE: EARLY 2025
Special transmission coming up next on Fluid Funk with a choice split effort from Malta’s Melchior Sultana and South-African producer KaySoul. Whilst Melchior’s been honing his deeply lush, sun-streaked sound over the past fifteen years with unfaltering dedication, culminating in his milestone full-length masterpiece ‘Mediterran’ on Jus-Ed’s Underground Quality from 2015, Johannesburg-based vibist KaySoul’s been dishing out proper bubbly, funky house joints on a drip tease flex, including his solo release “Click EP” on Fluid Funk in 2022. This release oozes pure feelgood coastal vibrations and loungey poolside hedonism thru and thru.
Melchior Sultana’s side kicks the “Melego EP” off with a hypnagogic house tune, “Sustained”, which has you drifting off into a deeply oneiric headspace straight away. Its lavish palette of sun-bleached pads, tap-tapping drums, prismatic piano and stealth sub-bassy drive makes it the epitome of a sensuous neo-balearic chugger. His second track, “Fusion”, trades the wooziness of the opener for a slightly more dynamic propulsion, though it retains those trademark iridescent harmonics of Sultana - flush with these cascades of glassy chords, ultra-processed funky riffs and dream house-y vibes.
Flip it over and there’s KaySoul shifting gears onto further jazzed-up, jacking house speed with “Let’s Get Down” (feat. Kevin De Coste & Mario Casares) - a no-nonsense slab of late-night boogie, rife with nods to Blue Note-style bop and the French Touch’s classic filtered house style. Handed to Nico Lahs, this track gains a further stripped-back tension while intensifying that brass-laden jazz swing and overall smokey vibe to hypnotic effect. Topping it off on a slo-burning, heavy-lidded type of finale, “Sea Crawl Out My Eyes” cuts a path of pleasure-seeking abandon across the room, channeling the drums’ martial pulse and overly sensuous bass energy into a piping-hot piece of loungey intimacy. Feel the heat much?

TITLE: THE SEA ABOVE
LABEL: ORANGE MOUNTAIN MUSIC
CAT NO: XA4GLASS10012
FORMAT: 12" / MINI ALBUM
GENRE: CLASSICAL / ELECTRONICA
Dutch composer and pianist Xavier Boot, also known as XA4, joins Philip Glass for the second release on the New York-based record label Orange Mountain Music, owned by Philip Glass.
“Xavier is really a wonderful pianist, and I am thrilled by how he now tackles my compositions, with that elegant electronica touch.” – Philip Glass
The Sea Above features not only Glass compositions but also several original pieces by Xavier: “I recorded this album inspired by all the musical influences I’ve experienced in my life, including classical, electronic (club) music, ambient, minimal, and even Indonesian music. The title track of the album is inspired by Philip Glass’s composition Mad Rush. He told me that he wrote this piece for an event with the Dalai Lama, where it was unclear when the Dalai Lama would arrive. That’s why Mad Rush was composed to last either five minutes or an hour. I tried to convey this idea of timelessness in my music, embodying this endless portal of time and space, which was also scientifically described by Albert Einstein. Another track on the album, Train I, is a reworking from Philip Glass’s opera Einstein on the Beach. You can experience the music on this album as a kind of journey, a trip where you are energetically drawn in at the beginning and later enter more of a fantasy world where dreams and unconscious elements of your mind can emerge.”
