INTERNSHIP @ ZWART GOUD

Zwart Goud is a boutique record store in the heart of Amsterdam, founded by musician & producer Ilker Soylu in 2012 as an events organization. In the recent years we’ve grown into a vinyl record store, vinyl distribution, DJ lessons, blog, events & electronic music playground. We offer a refined selection of new school Techno & House, Micro, Wave, Ambient, Synth, Balearic, Avantgarde Electronica, both online and offline, supplemented with a carefully curated selection of 2nd hand Psychedelic & Folk, Soundtracks, Musique concrete, World Rarities & Collectables. In addition, you can now enjoy digging with a cup of strong coffee in your hand.
The Function:
We are looking for an enthusiastic intern who enjoys ensuring the smooth operation of the store and assisting the founder with daily activities.
Key Responsibilities:
• Ensure that all work to be carried conducted efficiently.
• Assist monthly events and workshop such us DJ CAFE & Instores, Workshops and Seminars.
• Provide customer service while you prepare a delicious coffee for them.
• Manage online sales and maintain the website.
• Shipping duties: entering, sending and receiving UPS/DHL shipments.
• Distribution work: from receiving the press to the arrival of the records in other (online) stores.
• Manage social media: Instagram, Facebook, Twitter & Google accounts management.
Intern profile
The Ideal Candidate:
Available at least 1 day on the Weekend and 1 day on the Weekday.
Can manage crowds and switch between different activities effortessly.
Is energetic, positive, decisive, organized and structured.
Has an affinity with the electronic dance industry.
Barista experience can be handy.
Demonstrates good communication skills, both spoken and written (Fluent in English, Dutch is a pre).
Living in Amsterdam & holds a valid work permit.
