The record first came together over shared hikes in LA and then musical exchanges over email during the socially-distanced days of 2020. Each flexed previously unused musical muscles and the result is a record that is made up of largely improvised compositions. It is packed with bittersweet beauty, lush harmony and evocative ambient soundscapes with plenty of organic and naturalistic details, deft synth craft and an underlying sense of hope.
