David Yow's Springtime is a weird and wonderful one where sounds are busted, piled up on top of one another and are free to tumble down. Yow himself calls it "as monstrously ravishing as it is clumsy in its elegance." He works with Jim White who is one of his favourite drummers, Gareth Liddiard who has mastered the art of guitar playing that eels out of control, and Chris Abrahams. There are tunes like 'The Killing of The Village Idiot' about the Australian Special Forces, a liver recording of Will Oldham's "WesT Palm Beach' and 'The Viaduct Love Suicide' about the true story of a woman in the UK who had a disabled child.
